School year 2008-2009 PIE partners

Here are the generous businesses that support Davis!
Davis Elementary is extremely fortunate to have such great P.I.E. business partners, who have provided mentors, volunteers, donations (in-kind and cash), advertising in the directory, and assistance with many other activities to support the needs of our school’s teachers, staff, students.
Assistance from our P.I.E. business partners is vital to the success of many programs and activities we have at Davis. The businesses provide support for several school wide instructional resources and respond to Davis’ educational needs, such as Freescale’s grant that pays for half of our Science Lab’s annual expenses. To show your support for our business partners, please make sure you frequent these places as you shop around Austin. When you visit the business, let them know you are a Davis parent and appreciate their support to our school.
Davis Elementary is proud to participate in the Austin Partners In Education (A.P.I.E) program. A.P.I.E. began in 1983 in response to a need to involve more businesses, individuals and community organizations in the success of AISD students. It was also recognized that student success benefited our entire community. A partnership between the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce and the Austin Independent School District was formed with this goal in mind.
If you would like more information about P.I.E., volunteering for P.I.E., or know of a business that would like to be our partner, please contact the Marci Fizeseri.
